More than 150 alumni, corporate representatives and Clark School leaders gathered in the Kim Engineering Building on the evening of February 6 to celebrate and support the formation of the Women in Engineering Advisory Board.

The board comprises former Clark School associate dean and long-time benefactor Marilyn Berman Pollans (who has contributed funds to establish a living-learning component for the program); Engineering Alumni Chapter President Norine Walker (B.S. '73, civil engineering); and Clark School Board of Visitors member and alumna Mary Lacey (B.S. '78, mechanical engineering).

The board will help Women In Engineering become the premier program for increasing the recruitment and retention of female engineering students in the U.S. Speakers stressed the need for active participation and support by alumni and corporate partners.

"We want to make the Clark School's Women in Engineering Program a premiere program in country and have others compare their programs to ours," said Clark School Dean Nariman Farvardin at the reception.
